'Farmers Friday' Takes Off

On Friday, August 29th, we hosted the first ever "Farmers Get Together" at the Deans Marsh CFA Shed Social Room.

A small group of local people thought that it would be a great idea for local farmers to have the opportunity to have a casual get together and mingle with other locals that were involved in the farming sector.

"From Little Things Big Things Grow"

We weren't sure how many people would attend or how it would be received but were blown away by the amount that turned up (nearly 50 people) and everyone has given us such positive feedback.

After speaking to people that attended, we have decided to do this as a seasonal event, with the evening being the last Friday of each season, making the next get together Friday the 28^th of November (Last Friday of Spring). 

It will be the same format in that you bring your own drinks and the CFA will provide the meals.

A huge thank you to Jeff and his team at the CFA for manning the barbeque and also to Kenty's Bakery for donating the rolls and buns. And to James Maund, Terri Richardson, Belinda McKenzie & Brett Smart for getting this catch up off the ground.
