Run the Marsh 2025: A Celebration of Community, Fitness & Fun!

A huge thanks to all our competitors, working group, supporters, sponsors and prize givers for another fabulous Run the Marsh 25! We had another epic day, with 64 participants braving the wintery weather (despite it being spring!) and having an absolute ball running around the beautiful Frogwood Arboretum. Every runner gave it their all, with so many outstanding performances. A particular highlight was watching Tully and Ben in the Secondary Males category — just the two of them in the field, giving it everything as they battled it out for victory! But truly, there were so many memorable moments throughout the day.

Our working group did an incredible job gathering prizes, organising signage, MCing, warming everyone up, and sharing the event across the region. Thanks to James Maund, Jamie Comley, Lucy Quarterman, Hanna Muller and Antonia Settle for all their efforts — and an extra thanks to James for sharing his course with us.

These wonderful prizes certainly made our winners very happy, along with their 🏆 beautiful Redwood Trophies for our first-place runners, made locally by Will from Wood & Wedge.

Thanks also to the @surfcoastevents team and Surf Coast Shire for their ongoing support, enabling us to purchase chocolate medals, the special trophies AND some new feather banners!

A special thanks to Peter McCarney for First Aid support — always a trusted presence behind the scenes, and thankfully he didn’t have to get put to work!

A huge shout-out as well to our wonderful marshalls on the day — Mark, Mike, Stakka, Luke, Tara, Scott & crew, Madeleine, Helen and Hannah — and importantly, to Terri & Andes on the coffee machine! ☕💪

Thank you all so much for helping make this sustainable, active event such a celebration in our small town. A lovely way to step into spring and enjoy our community and the beautiful environment we’re lucky to call home. 🌿💚
