Deans Marsh Community
Action Network (CAN)
The goal of CAN is to bring members of the Deans Marsh community and representatives of the community groups together in one place at the one time. It is hoped that more that is known about what is happening around town, the easier it will be to work together, and keep Deans Marsh the special place it is.

CAN meetings are a casual and light hearted way for members of the Deans Marsh community to catch up with what is going on in the Marsh. There is no agenda to these gatherings, just a sharing & cross pollination platform.
Typically representatives of 7 of the main community groups: CAC, CFA, Cricket Club, Landcare, SPark, School, and Cottage will be in attendance. Each group’s representative will provide a brief 10 minute summary about what their group has been up to recently and what their future plans are.
Typically there is also an update on the progress of other community initiatives such as the Streetscapes Project, or other working groups, and the is potential for new working groups to arise. CAN is also the group that manages the Community Action Plan.
Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend to issues or new ideas.

The CAN meets bi-monthly. Meeting dates are published in The Cottage eNewsletter and The Croaker.
